Artwork Requirements

There are two types of artwork needed depending on the surface to be engraved. Please see below for the artwork requirements.
For sand etching on crystal, glass, marble or stone surfaces, all artwork such as company logos, images, special fonts and other graphics must be black and white, vectorized artwork. Examples of this include the following. Adobe Illustrator ai. file (up to version CS3). Must be black and white, with no color or grayscale and all specialized text should be converted to curves or paths. Corel Draw cdr. file (up to version 13). Must be black and white, with no color or grayscale and all specialized text should be converted to curves or paths. We can also use a black and white vector eps. file. (No Greyscale) For glass or crystal etching we cannot use bitmap images such as jpeg, tga, gif, psd, bmp, etc.
For laser engraving on plaques, acrylic, wood, brass and aluminum etc. We can accept bitmap images and graphics such as jpg. and gif. files as well as vectorized artwork. The higher the resolution of the graphic or image the better the result on the finished product. We suggest 400 resolution or higher for images and graphics. Electronic artwork is preferred and you may submit it to us via Email or on our Submit Artwork page. In some cases we may have to modify the artwork slightly if it contains very fine lines or text. We will inform you if this is needed and if there are any additional costs involved. If you are unable to supply artwork in a vector format let us know and we can convert it for an additional fee. |
